SAFIFUR 1000

Description

SAFIFUR 1000 is a sterile veterinary injectable preparation containing Ceftiofur 1000 mg, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with potent bactericidal activity. It acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis through binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), thereby preventing peptidoglycan formation. This weakens the bacterial cell wall, leading to cell lysis and rapid bacterial death.

Its broad-spectrum action is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens responsible for respiratory, urinary, and soft-tissue infections in animals, including bovine respiratory disease, pneumonia, foot rot, and other susceptible bacterial infections.

Indications:

• Treatment of Bovine Respiratory Disease (shipping fever) and bacterial pneumonia.
• Management of respiratory tract infections
• Treatment of interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot / pododermatitis)
• Treatment of urinary tract infections
• Control of early mortality due to coli infections in poultry.
• Effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infections.
