Description
CIPZY-TZ 3300 Bolus is a broad-spectrum veterinary antimicrobial formulation containing Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride and Tinidazole, indicated for the treatment of mixed bacterial and protozoal infections. The combination provides synergistic activity against aerobic, anaerobic, and protozoal pathogens.
Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, thereby blocking DNA replication, transcription, and repair, which leads to rapid bacterial cell death. Tinidazole, a nitroimidazole antimicrobial, undergoes intracellular activation in anaerobic organisms and protozoa, causing DNA strand breakage and inhibition of nucleic acid synthesis, ultimately resulting in cell death.
CIPZY-TZ 3300 bolus is widely used in acute gastrointestinal infections such as diarrhea and dysentery, and in systemic and reproductive tract infections including mastitis, metritis, and septicemic conditions, making it an effective option for managing complex mixed infections in veterinary.
Indications:
- Gastrointestinal infections including bacterial and protozoal diarrhoea
- Protozoal infections such as giardiasis and amoebiasis
- Infections of the respiratory, urinary, and reproductive tracts
- Dysentery associated with bacterial and protozoal pathogens
- Septicemic conditions involving mixed microbial flora
- Metritis and Mastitis
Therapeutic Segment Positioning:
