Product Description
CEEFOL 1000 is a sterile injectable formulation of Cefotaxime Sodium, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with potent, broad-spectrum bactericidal activity. It exerts its action by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) and inhibiting the final step of bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to weakening of the cell wall and eventual lysis of the bacteria. Its stability against many β-lactamases enhances its effectiveness against a wide range of Gram-negative and certain Gram-positive organisms.

nCEEFOL 1000 is indicated for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, septicemia, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, gynecological infections, bone and joint infections, and central nervous system infections such as meningitis.
