Description
VELGESIC Injection is a veterinary analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic formulation containing Mefenamic Acid 50 mg and Paracetamol 150 mg, designed for effective relief from pain, inflammation, and fever in animals.
Mefenamic Acid inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis responsible for inflammation and pain, while Paracetamol acts centrally by inhibiting prostaglandin production, providing analgesic and antipyretic effects. This dual mechanism ensures rapid and effective control of pain and elevated body temperature.
VELGESIC is indicated for musculoskeletal disorders, lameness, post-operative pain, soft tissue injuries, and fever associated with infections, helping improve comfort, mobility, and recovery in animals.
