MONACLOX 2500 is a sterile broad-spectrum veterinary antibiotic injection containing Ampicillin Sodium and Cloxacillin Sodium, indicated for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections in animals.

nAmpicillin, a semi-synthetic aminopenicillin, acts by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) and inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and bactericidal activity against susceptible bacteria. Cloxacillin is a penicillinase-resistant β-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis and remains stable against β-lactamase enzymes produced by bacteria. The combination provides synergistic antibacterial action with extended spectrum coverage, effectively targeting both β-lactamase producing and non-producing bacteria.
