KETOPET Soap is a medicated veterinary cleansing bar containing Ketoconazole 2% w/v and Cetrimide 0.5% w/v, formulated for the effective management of fungal and bacterial skin infections in pets. Ketoconazole acts by inhibiting the fungal enzyme 14-α-demethylase, thereby blocking ergosterol synthesis and disrupting fungal cell membrane integrity, leading to cell death. Cetrimide, a quaternary ammonium antiseptic, enhances the action by destroying microbial cell membranes and reducing surface contamination, providing broad-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal protection.
