MONACLOX 2500

Description

MONACLOX 2500 is a sterile broad-spectrum veterinary antibiotic injection containing Ampicillin Sodium and Cloxacillin Sodium, indicated for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections in animals.

Ampicillin, a semi-synthetic aminopenicillin, acts by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) and inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and bactericidal activity against susceptible bacteria. Cloxacillin is a penicillinase-resistant β-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis and remains stable against β-lactamase enzymes produced by bacteria. The combination provides synergistic antibacterial action with extended spectrum coverage, effectively targeting both β-lactamase producing and non-producing bacteria.

MONACLOX 2500 ensures rapid infection control and reliable clinical response, making it suitable for managing respiratory, urinary, skin and soft tissue, bone and joint infections, as well as systemic bacterial infections in livestock and companion animals.
