Description

KETOPET Soap is a medicated veterinary cleansing bar containing Ketoconazole 2% w/v and Cetrimide 0.5% w/v, formulated for the effective management of fungal and bacterial skin infections in pets. Ketoconazole acts by inhibiting the fungal enzyme 14-α-demethylase, thereby blocking ergosterol synthesis and disrupting fungal cell membrane integrity, leading to cell death. Cetrimide, a quaternary ammonium antiseptic, enhances the action by destroying microbial cell membranes and reducing surface contamination, providing broad-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal protection.

KETOPET Soap is indicated for use in dogs and cats for dermatophytosis (ringworm), Malassezia dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and mixed fungal and bacterial skin infections. It helps relieve itching, irritation, scaling, and foul odour while effectively cleansing the skin by removing dirt, excess oil, and microorganisms. Regular use supports healthy skin, improves coat condition, and helps prevent recurrence of infections, making it suitable for routine dermatological care in veterinary practice.
