CEFCINAL-SL 1500

Description

CEFCINAL-SL 1500 Injection is a broad-spectrum antibacterial formulation containing Ceftriaxone 1000 mg and Sulbactam 500 mg for parenteral use. Ceftriaxone, a third-generation cephalosporin, acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis through binding to penicillin-binding proteins, leading to bactericidal activity. Sulbactam, a β-lactamase inhibitor, protects ceftriaxone from enzymatic degradation by resistant bacteria, thereby enhancing its spectrum of activity against β-lactamase producing organisms.

CEFCINAL-SL 1500 is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of moderate to severe bacterial infections including lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, septicemia, meningitis, and gynecological infections. It is also used for surgical prophylaxis to reduce the risk of postoperative infections, offering reliable and effective therapy in hospital and clinical settings.
