Description
ATROLIFE Injection is a sterile veterinary formulation of Atropine Sulphate, an anticholinergic agent indicated for the management of bradycardia, excessive secretions, gastrointestinal spasms, and toxicological emergencies in animals. It acts by competitively blocking muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, thereby inhibiting parasympathetic activity, reducing salivary and bronchial secretions, relaxing smooth muscles, and increasing heart rate by suppressing vagal influence on the heart.
ATROLIFE Injection is widely used as a pre-anaesthetic medication to minimize respiratory tract secretions and prevent anesthesia-induced bradycardia, and also serves as an effective antidote in organophosphate and cholinergic poisoning. Its rapid onset and reliable action make it an essential drug in veterinary anesthesia and emergency care.
Indications:
- Treatment of bradycardia (slow heart rate) during surgery or anesthesia
- Antidote in organophosphate and carbamate poisoning (pesticide toxicity)
- Control of excessive salivation (hypersalivation / hypersialism)
- Management of colic and gastrointestinal spasms in animals
- Reduction of bronchial secretions in respiratory conditions
- Pre-anaesthetic medication to reduce salivation and respiratory secretions
Therapeutic Segment Positioning:
Anticholinergic Agent
